Attention Sparkman!!! July 4th is just around the corner and now is the time to grab your neighbors and get your float entries submitted! All activities below take place on July 4th.
The Children’s parade begins at 10 am. Line-up begins at 9:50 am on the East side of the Clubhouse. Please contact Aimee Harwood if you have questions.
Judging categories for the kid’s parade include Best Bicycle or Scooter and Most Patriotic.
The main parade begins at 11 am. Floats need to start lining up on Duchess facing East near the Clubhouse at 10:40 am. Please email Debra Hervey with any questions and to enter your float.
Judging categories for floats include: Best All Around, Most Patriotic, Most Creative, Most Sparkman Spirit, and Best Golf Cart.
Tween Queen Float: if you have a daughter who turns 12 this year then they get the honor of riding on their own float in the main parade. Please contact Krystin Bartley if your tween daughter would like to participate.
Lunch will be available from 12-2 pm. Burgers, chicken and other goodies from the Egg Stand food truck plus enjoy frozen margaritas after the parade concludes.
12-6 pm Pool Party!!
Pie Contest: 1-1:30 pm. Entries need to be at the Clubhouse by 12:30 to be eligible for the contest.
Rules: Submit two pies (apple or pies with red, white or blue filling), one for judges and one for the dessert table. Pies must be prepared and baked by the individual submitting the pie. Pies need to be in a disposable pie pan. Judging will be based on flavor, filling, crust, and overall appearance and creativity.
The Pie contest is open to all Sparkman Club members.
